    Does your company have a clear understanding of the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures used by civilian, defense and intelligence agencies?

    Do you know:

    • what a Simplified Acquisition is;
    • which federal agencies leverage them;
    • how much they spend;
    • what they buy;
    • how they buy;
    • how much agencies have increased their use of these procedures;
    • how agencies have increased the size of these buys;
    • what opportunities exist for your company, and;
    • how to find these opportunities, today?
    Whether your company has been in government contracting for years or you are just getting started, if your answer is 'No' it means your company might be missing out on viable business opportunities issued by more than 60 federal agencies, boards and commissions each year for a broad range of goods and services across the country and around the world. These buys are easier for agencies to process and easier for industry to respond to and have a lower Procurement Administrative Lead Time (PALT) than most other buys made by the U.S. Government.

    During this highly interactive, fact-filled education session, Guy Timberlake of The American Small Business Coalition will share experience and knowledge based on his 30 years in government contracting and first-hand success finding and winning Simplified Acquisitions since the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act (FASA) made them possible for the Government.

    If this topic is new to you, look for '15 Reasons Simplified Acquisitions Should Be In Small Business Pipelines' in our event calendar. It's a streamlined and action-packed countdown of facts, trends and other useful information, and is a primer for 'Finding and Winning Simplified Acquisition Opportunities.' Both programs are part of the Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors™ Essentials curriculum.

    We're mixing it up GovCon style in Atlanta! But we're keeping it small and intimate which means you must pre-register to attend this awesome event!

    First things first. There will be a lot of great food and a little sangria courtesy of your hosts, The American Small Business Coalition, EMD Strategies and D-Unity Group. Additional beverages conveniently located about 3 steps away at the Gypsy Kitchen bar!

    This event is also a fundraiser to support the great work being done by Ranger Karl Monger and his team at GallantFew.  Don't know about GallantFew? This is the organization we supported on December 6th with over $20,000 in donations from government contractors in DC/MD/VA during our Holiday Charity Bash event in Tysons Corner, VA. Their mission is to prevent veteran isolation by connecting new veterans with hometown veteran mentors, thereby facilitating a peaceful, successful transition from military service to a civilian life filled with hope and purpose. Your entire registration fee of $50 is going directly to GallantFew and you will receive a charitable donation receipt and acknowledgement from them once we submit your information collected during registration.

    GovCon Facts: During fiscal year 2017, government contractors registered as Georgia entities accounted for $7.2 billion in obligations from 63 federal agencies, boards and commissions. The Department of Defense spent the most, but 62 other agencies chipped in nearly two billion.  Do you know who they are? The primary place of performance for about $5 billion of that spend was Georgia, but 54 other states and U.S. territories accounted for all but $346M that represented an OCONUS place of performance. We'll have information like this and much more along with great networking. Space is limited so be sure to reserve your spot today!

    Simplified Acquisitions are a secret weapon for federal agencies. It allows their buyers to make purchases with a reduced administrative lead time and level of effort so they can get essential goods and services to agency customers faster than other procurement methods. The rules for this type of purchase conveys a preference for agencies to engage with small business concerns as well as a reduced level of effort for vendors when responding to these requirements.

    In Fiscal Year 2017, 68 federal agencies, boards and commissions issued and administered contracts and orders valued at nearly $22B, continuing an upward trend in utilization and fiscal spending on buys made this way.

    During this Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors™ Essentials session, attendees will be presented information that just might compel them to look deeper into these agency purchases as part of their company's growth in government contracting. 30-year industry veteran Guy Timberlake will present the facts and share his experiences of doing business this way with civilian, defense and intelligence agencies since the Government first authorized the use of Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

    '15 Reasons Simplified Acquisitions Should Be In Small Business Pipelines' is a primer for the half-day education and training session entitled 'Finding and Winning Simplified Acquisition Opportunities,' also part of the Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors™ Essentials curriculum.

    Following the event, participants will receive a link via email where they can download a PDF version of the slide presentation. Pre-registration is required for this event.
