    Ethical Stalking Essentials are educational topics based on key elements of the Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors™ curriculum created solely to empower companies to have an improved view of competitors, customers, opportunities and partners in federal contracting.

    'Not Knowing the GovCon Codes Can Hurt (Your Business Development)!' dives right into a discussion about procurement classification codes used everyday by civilian, defense and intelligence agencies and the many myths regarding what they mean, or don't mean. Do you know the codes?

    From the very beginning of this discussion, your facilitator will demonstrate industry's general lack of familiarity and context with classification systems used by industry to identify opportunities and by agencies to track how (and to whom) obligations are distributed.

    Participants can expect to come away from this session with a substantive understanding of why they need to 'know the codes' and how it can result in improved visibility of how agencies describe what they are procuring and decrease the amount of time and money spent on identifying customers and their requirements.

    Agenda:

    • Lunch available beginning at 11:45
    • Presentation starts promptly at Noon
    • Presentation and Q&A conclude at 1:00 PM
    • Networking and wrap-up end at 1:15 PM

    Pre-registration for this event is required. The registration fee includes participation for one individual and breakfast or lunch based on time of day.

    The ASBC Terms of Use and Event Policy is in effect. Space is limited.

    Ethical Stalking for Government Contractors™ Bootcamp Course Outline:
    1. About This Program
    2. Why We're Here
    3. Business Development (Life Cycle) Essentials
    4. Information, Knowledge and Intelligence
    5. Where Information Is Needed
    6. Where Information Comes From (Planned End of Day 1)
    7. What You Don't Know Can Hurt You
    8. What Information Is Needed and When
    9. Activation (Applying What You've Learned)
    Note: Most sections (especially 3-8) include multiple discussions and exercises to reinforce content relevance and stickiness for participants. Since its inception, previous versions of this program have been delivered to small, medium and large companies new to government contracting and to well-established organizations with many years and many wins to their names. In private and public sessions, participant familiarity ranged from neophyte to industry veterans with 20+ years in varying roles tied to growth efforts. Our observations over the years have led us to evolve the program and create a content flow that builds a foundation of knowledge for some participants and enhances a current body of knowledge for others. The flow of the content and discussions empowers the creation and correction of perceptions and understanding of federal (civilian, defense and intelligence) agency practices, processes, systems and terminologies that most influence vendor business development activities, from initial market assessment to the submission of proposals.

    The Holiday Charity Bash™ powered by The American Small Business Coalition (or simply The Bash) is an event well worth your personal and professional time! Since 2009 The American Small Business Coalition and our sponsors, donors, guests and volunteers, have joined forces to donate nearly $100,000 to support our active duty military, veterans and Wounded Warriors and their families.  We have raised money to retrofit housing for injured and disabled veterans, fund education scholarships for veterans, spouses and dependents and provide for the recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration of America’s heroes and their families.

    Why do we do this?  Because we are, we have been, we work with or are related to someone who is serving or has served!  With your support, here's how we do it!

    We start by:

    • bringing out the best and most generous from Government and Industry;
    • having an amazing group of donors, sponsors and volunteers!

    We combine that with;

    • an abundance of great food
    • a silent auction featuring amazing gifts and experiences
    • a 50/50 raffle  (the last winner netted $1,000)
    • the Freeze Frame! Photo Booth (smile for the camera!)
    • Mystery Gift Boxes, an affordable way to boost the donation and get something in return!

    This in addition to having surpassed our donation goal every year, it’s little wonder why everyone associated with The Bash leaves with great memories, business contacts, actual business opportunities and a sense of accomplishment. The Holiday Charity Bash is a perfect blend of business,community and giving at the start of the holiday season!
