Director, Office of Procurement
Soraya Correa is the Director of the Office of Procurement Operations (OPO). She has over 28 years of experience in procurement, federal assistance, and acquisitions management. Ms. Correa has held leadership positions at several Federal agencies including the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), General Services Administration (GSA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), which was transferred into the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in March 2003.
Prior to joining OPO, Ms. Correa was the Director of the ICE Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), where she transitioned, realigned and transformed the legacy INS Office of Procurement into the new ICE procurement organization. During her career she has served several positions as a customer of procurement, including Director of the legacy INS Office of Financial Systems Management from March 1999 to March 2003, and Information Technology Acquisitions Manager for the INS Office of Information Resources Management (OIRM) from June 1993 to March 1999.
Ms. Correa is a
graduate of the GSA Trail Boss Program and a former member of the GSA Trail
Boss Interagency Council. She is also a
member of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). She has an undergraduate certificate in
Acquisitions Management from The American University in Washington, D. C. and a
B.A. in Management from
