Kay H. Olive
Kay brought years of
business ownership, consulting and strategic development experience to the
development of the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable. Through developing WHSR as a liaison between
DHS and industry, she built strong relationships in both arenas. These relationships enabled WHSR to
coordinate the kickoff for both SBInet and the Office of Global Maritime
Situation Awareness/MDA. As a result,
she founded The Olive Group, which has recently expanded to become Olive
Strategies, to help corporations identify both strategic and tactical
opportunities in the homeland security and defense arenas, develop necessary
critical relationships in the USG, and provide guidance in both market and
opportunity development. Leveraging
these relationships, Kay served as a consultant on the winning team for one of
DHS’ largest and most comprehensive procurements, the Secure Border Initiative
Technology component, SBInet, and worked with the PMO and USG customer in
execution of the program for an extended period.
Additionally, she consulted with the winning team for the DHS Secondary Data Center project. Kay participated in a non-profit quarterly working group with Secretary Chertoff and senior NAC leadership at DHS. She has been selected by DHS to be an Official Observer for both TOPOFF3 and TOPOFF4, the DHS biannual exercise for comprehensive national preparedness. Kay’s client list includes The Boeing Company, Ball Aerospace, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Lockheed Martin, DRS Technologies, GreenLine Systems, Vista Research, TTi Technologies, Visual Defence, and a joint project with Siemens. She holds a TS SCI security clearance. Kay currently is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Homeland Security Task Force, the Border Trade Alliance, BENS, and Women in Government Relations. She serves as a board member for the Border Trade Alliance.

DuPont, Chubb Life, Whirlpool, and various financial and health care institutions.
