Real-World Knowledge to Access Real-Time Government Contracting Opportunities

(Simplified Acquisition purchases are called 'low-hanging fruit' for a reason!)

During FY2013, $12 billion of the $17 billion in Simplified Acquisition obligations were standalone awards
versus buys against established contract vehicles.

Why Simplified Acquisitions?

Since fiscal year 2010, more than sixty federal agencies, boards and commissions collectively obligated more than $80 billion dollars to the purchase of goods and services using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Generally, buys made this way are less risky and less burdensome for agencies, and for the vendors with whom they do business. Most of the buys were competitively awarded to small business concerns, with and without the use of small business set-asides.

The use of Simplified Acquisitions has increased an
average of $800 million
each year since FY2010.

What is A|C|E™: SAP?

A|C|E™: SAP is a continuing education and professional development program for industry professionals and organizations pursuing U.S. Government procurements of goods and services, specifically purchases made using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures identified in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

This program facilitates increased awareness and understanding of purchases made using the streamlined procedures described in FAR Part 13, and the ability for participants to develop, maintain and exploit a tangible prospect and opportunity pipeline that can contribute to realized revenues and profits in government contracting.

During FY2014 federal agencies obligated $7 billion in
Simplified Acquisitions to
5,270 small business concerns where each was awarded $250,000 or more.
