|Information To Win™: Tools and Resources for Connecting the Dots|
“Not having the information you need when you need it leaves you wanting.
Not knowing where to look for that information leaves you powerless.
In a society where information is king, none of us can afford that.”
— Lois Horowitz, A Writer’s Guide to Research, 1986
“Without context, a piece of information is just a dot.
It floats in your brain with a lot of other dots and doesn’t mean a damn thing.
Knowledge is information-in-context… connecting the dots.”
— Michael Ventura, Connecting a Few Dots, 1997

The Complete FPDS-NG Workshop!
This Information To Win™ program provides practical resources and tactics industry executives and professionals can use to identify, collect and exploit government contracting information for the purpose of finding, qualifying and winning contracts and subcontracts.
Hosted by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), the Federal Procurement Data System Next Generation (FPDS-NG) is a key open source for data related to the initial award and subsequent modification of agency contracts and contract vehicles. While it is the Government's primary repository for historical contracting data, FPDS-NG remains a mystery to many government contractors even though they are regularly exposed to its content.
FPDS-NG is a key resource for identifying and capturing opportunities and relationships. Participating in this four-hour workshop will give attendees the ability to leverage its ezSearch, Standard Reports and Ad Hoc (Custom) Query features and tap into the full power of this system. Additionally, participants will receive instruction in utilizing a powerful analysis and visualization tool already resident in most desktop, laptop of tablet computers.
Participation Requirements: Active FPDS-NG User Registration and PC with ability to access the Internet or Wi-Fi and Microsoft Excel.
