Director of Business and Acquisition Operations
GSA Office of Assisted Acquisition Services
In fiscal year 2009, the Office of Assisted Acquisition Services was responsible for obligating $3.9B with $1B of that to small businesses. While the Department of Defense represents AAS' largest customer, they do business with nearly every Civilian agency as well. Large civilian customers include VA, EPA, Agriculture, GSA, DHS, USAID and FDIC.
While GSA Schedules are utilized whenever practical, being a schedule holder is not a prerequisite for GSA/FAS/AAS to engage your organization. During FY09, in addition to GSA Schedules, the top contract vehicles leveraged included Millenia Lite; Open Market Acquisitions; ANSWER; 8(a) STARS; GSA Connections and NASA SEWP. They tell us they can tap the Army’s ITES and Air Force’s NETCENTS contracts if necessary.
This session will provide an opportunity to learn how to factor the AAS into your company's strategy.
