Presenter: Aileen Pisciotta (click here for bio)
Executive Counsel, PLC

Teaming agreements and joint ventures are critical vehicles that can be very helpful to small companies pursuing government contracts. However, these partnerships can result in small businesses being disqualified due to affiliation rules put in place by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

This session will outline the SBA's affiliation rules and available exceptions, and will identify circumstances under which small business qualifications may be at risk as well as critical (sometimes hidden) issues that arise in teaming agreements, joint ventures and joint marketing arrangements that are red flags for small businesses. Attendees will receive suggestions for strategies to use when entering into teaming arrangements and joint ventures, to avoid risking their ability to compete as a small business.

Attendee Suggested Experience Level: Intermediate

Target Attendee:
Attendees should be familiar with SBA size qualifications and certification/set aside programs, and have some experience with teaming or joint venture agreements.
