What the Heck is DCAA Compliance?
Presenter: Paul Baumann (click here for bio)
Owner, PDS Business Systems and Services

The government financial management system review started under the Clinton administration and continued with the Bush administration has resulted in a requirement that all government contractors engaging in cost reimbursable contracts have their system certified prior to award. Until recently this requirement was rarely enforced but following a GAO audit of DCAA compliance is now being enforced for all companies (large and small) awarded Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) or Time & Materials (T&M) contracts.

During this session, you will participate in an overview of what it takes to become compliant including:
  1. What is Compliance?
  2. When are Audits Conducted and Who Conducts Them?
  3. What is Needed to Support an Audit?
  4. Determining if Your Current System is Sufficient.
Attendee Suggested Experience Level: Novice to Intermediate

Target Audience:
Small Business Owners with little or no experience in government contract accounting/DCAA compliance
