Simplified Acquisitions: An Overlooked Multi-Billion Dollar Opportunity for Small Businesses
Presenter: Guy Timberlake
Chief Visionary and CEO, The American Small Business Coalition
A simplified acquisition is a purchase by the government where the value is between $3000 and $100,000. So what’s the big deal?
In FY2009 the U.S. Government completed 420,885 contract actions totaling $3,924,837,974 (average of $9325.20 per action) and going into the final month of FY2010, nearly 450k contract actions have been awarded with a value of $6,302,722,768. Based on the rules associated with these types of purchases, many (if not most!) never appeared on FedBizOpps or e-Buy.
During this session, attendees will receive information about pursuing Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) purchases to include how they are competed, who does the buying and how to position your company for these opportunities.
