Greetings! Are you tracking the activity surrounding the General Service Administration'sDemand Based Model?
GSA's job security may be the end for some of your current contract(s) or at least your hopes of obtaining one. Check out the latest installment on this subject from Federal Computer Week below.
Also, how much do you scrutinize new business opportunities? Just as GSA has realized even inactive contracts cost money to maintain, bidding on opportunities for which you are not a fit costs you time and money. Stop by Washington Technology as they discuss the importance of gate reviews in support of your BD process.
Both of these and more can be found in the 'New You Missed' section below.
Next week in Tysons we'll host a mixer and book signing for government contractors that should not be missed!
GovConnections Mixer and Book Signing 6/27 In addition to our monthly GovConnections network mixer on June 27th we're also featuring a book signing for author Steven Koprince who's hard cover help desk just got released on June 6th.
The Small-Business Guide To Government Contracts is not about finding and winning business in the government sector, it's about the rules associated with affiliation, ostensible subcontractor, size standards, the socioeconomic programs and much more!
Steven will be on-hand to discuss and sign copies of his book and you can purchase copies of the book during registration for the low price of $21.99 each (order by this Wednesday and they will be waiting for you at the event). To register, click on the link in the Upcoming Events section below.

A 'simplified' way for agencies to achieve small business goals
Small business goals are a touchy subject for me because in an ideal world, small businesses would get a fair shake in federal contracting because of what they bring to the table, versus their socioeconomic designations. But that's not what this post is about.
