Result of 2011 Holiday Charity Bash™

In Two Words: HUGE SUCCESS!!!

Donors, Guests, Sponsors and Volunteers from Government and Industry rally to raise more than $15,000 to support mission of American Freedom Foundation during annual charity network fundraiser hosted by The American Small Business Coalition and its Members.

McLean, VA, December 1, 2011: Once again, the Holiday Charity Bash™ proved itself as the National Capital Region's most festive networking and fundraising event for the government contracting community, by blowing away the charitable giving goal of $10,000. This year’s event on Wednesday, November 30th in McLean, VA presented by Mission Essential Personnel, raised $15,300.17 to retrofit housing for injured and disabled veterans, fund education programs for the children of military families and provide outpatient military care at Naval Medical Centers and subsidize activities to help returning vets successfully transition to the workforce, just to name a few of the activities supported by American Freedom Foundation (AFF).

"On the evening of the Bash we presented AFF a check for $13,000 based on our initial counts," said Margaret Timberlake, Co-Founder and President of The American Small Business Coalition (The ASBC). "After rechecking the results of the 50/50 raffle, mystery gift boxes, guest bartender tips, silent auction sales, and sponsor contributions, we found more donations to push the overall donation total higher."

"I don't believe I've seen in a long time someone as motivated as Guy and Maggie Timberlake for stepping up to support Veterans and their families," said Jack Tilley, Co-Founder of American Freedom Foundation and retired Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army upon receiving the updated donation totals. "Ted [Hacker] and I are just blown away by the selflessness of everyone associated with the Holiday Charity Bash™."

Major sponsorship support for this year's Holiday Charity Bash™ was also received from InfoTek Corporation, Deltek, Intelligence Analysis Incorporated, Imagewerks, Creating IT Futures Foundation and PDS Business Systems & Services.

Since 2009, donors, guests, sponsors and volunteers of the Holiday Charity Bash™ have helped The American Small Business Coalition present nearly $30,000 in donations to American Freedom Foundation. To ensure the momentum continues, preparations are already underway for 2012.

"We hosted more guests and raised more money this year than the previous two year's combined," exclaims Guy Timberlake, Co-Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of The ASBC. "Our challenge is figuring out how to top the fun and total donation in 2012 which is a problem we're happy to have!"
