What is the Market Intelligence Exchange?
A ‘fuel injected’, members-only business development activity for cultivating relationships and receiving accurate, efficiently delivered information related to government agency requirements.


The ASBC Staff and Volunteers from the Market Intelligence and Education Committee, the SAP Task Force and the various Business Opportunity Working Groups will present timely industry news, updates about agency initiatives and policy, direct and teaming opportunities and other useful information to assist Members with ongoing opportunity identification and qualification efforts.


The Market Intelligence Exchange convenes on the fourth Thursday of each month, begins at 7:30AM (8:00AM for web participants) and concludes at 10:00AM.

  • Check-in, Breakfast and Networking
  • Attendee Introductions - Webinar session begins.
  • Industry News Update - Brief review of government agency/contracting-related articles from industry, regional and national media outlets.
  • Agency Spotlight - Summary breakdown of recent procurement policy and practice changes, new/revised agency initiatives and recent acquisition activities at 2-3 federal agencies.
  • SAP Task Force Update -Update on Simplified Acquisition spending and contract vehicles available with spotlight agencies in the discipline areas represented by the Business Opportunity Working Groups.
  • Industry Days, Pre-RFP Conferences and Site Visits - Take advantage of every opportunity to stay ahead of the curve by leveraging these updates about in-person and virtual meeting opportunities with buyers and customers prior to solicitations being issued.
  • Contract Vehicles and Teaming - In addition to providing information on top acquisition methods and contract vehicles at spotlight agencies, you will also find out which teams are "hiring" and what it takes to get a spot.
  • Open Discussion and Networking - Time for Members to offer up new business to include direct and teaming opportunities, recent changes at government agencies or with specific contractors, and connecting with the potential teaming partner sitting across the room!
