Thanks to the amazing support of our Members, Guests, Sponsors and Volunteers, The American Small Business Coalition exceeded the goal of making a $7500 donation to American Freedom Foundation as a result of proceeds raised during the December 1st Holiday Charity Bash in Falls Church, VA.
Pictured above (from left) are American Freedom Foundation board members Dave Barber, Phil Panzarella (both of CPS Professional Services) and Scott Denniston (Scott Group of VA), Guy Timberlake of The American Small Business Coalition and bartender Ashley Thatcher who won the 50/50 raffle and promptly donated five hundred dollars of her winnings to American Freedom Foundation, a 501(c)3 lead by retired Sergeant Major of the Army Jack Tilley.
Tomorrow evening (December 1st), nearly two hundred guests will participate
in a festive and fun kickoff to the holiday season while supporting a
cause that protects our very way of life. On top of that, everyone attending will have an
opportunity to network with other great folks from
Government and from Industry.
In preparation for the event, we thought we would provide a few useful facts.
Brief Holiday Charity Bash History...
This event has its beginnings with The ASBC's Corporate Social Responsibility activities that have resulted in donations to Fisher House, Casey Cares Foundation, Tigerlily Foundation, USO and most recently the American Freedom Foundation over the past six years.
We decided to provide ongoing support to American Freedom Foundation because of the diverse yet
focused approach to the programs it supports. As they state, "Taking Care of Our Veterans, Active Duty Military and Military Families."

Here's Our Roadmap...
- Every auction item sells for the minimum bid, raising $3300.
(Note: There are twenty-one items to include a WiFi iPad and GREAT Capitals vs Penguins tickets on 12/23!)
- Guest bartenders raise $50 each for a combined total of $350
(The goal requires each guest tipping only fifty-cents to each of the seven bartenders!)
SBA's Bridget Bean and GSA's Mary Davie at last years bash! Both are on-board as guest bartenders for this year!
- Each attendee spends $35 on the Bartender Contest or the 50/50 Raffle (or both!), which gives us $3850...
