Ready for the New Fiscal Year?
Prepared for FY2011 Busyness or Business?

Many companies misconstrue activities which are merely indicators of potential opportunity and wind up bogging down their resources and not making progress towards their goals.

Let's face it. If you're involved in pursuing government contracts as a professional or executive, you are subject to a non-stop and fast-growing onslaught of information and activities designed to help you with your daily routine.

This deluge has created significant confusion in the government sector as to what it is folks should be doing in order to move the proverbial ball forward. There are breakfast, lunch and dinner networking events, industry days, RFI's and Sources Sought Notices, compliance issues, amendments to solicitations, regulatory updates that change how you pursue business, policy updates that change how you win business, agency directives that change how you find business and more!

Someone that tells you "the more signed teaming agreements you collect in a week is a measure of success" is not really helping you.

So you're on four different teams for four different GWAC's and five other teams for five BPA's and IDIQ contracts. What processes do you have in place to exploit and support those activities and do you really understand how your primes intend to disseminate work? Where are you in that food chain?

With the changes facing the 2011 budget meaning the government will have to do more with less, and the prospect of a very long continuing resolutions meaning new projects are on-hold, your ability to stay sharp and efficient as an industry professional or executive/owner is more important than ever.

Never has there been a better time than now for an education and intelligence activity that hits the mark!

On behalf of our Planning Committee, volunteers, scheduled presenters and of course, Maggie and myself, we invite you to join us November 3rd at the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City as we collectively present the 2010 B2G Essentials Conference! This full-day of highly useful and immediately applicable information will serve to support industry novices and veterans alike. If you are seeking information on Teaming and Subcontracting Tactics or how a GSA Schedule might impact your business in 2011 and beyond, or how rules issued by the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regarding predecessor employees or disabled persons may change your approach to providing full-time equivalent employees to the Government.

Other sessions covering topics such as how to pursue Simplified Acquisition Procurements (also known as small purchases), the recent changes to the Subcontracting Threshold (the first rung of this ladder moved up! - not really good for small business) and the increase to the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (This was a good thing!) are all pieces of the puzzle you must assemble in order to be effective as you pursue your business goals.

Early bird pricing for the conference ends this Thursday (9/30) so be sure to take advantage of the $50 savings and pre-register today! You'll be hard-pressed to find a better use of your time or a better value for your hard-earned dollars, and we promise you will leave with more usable information than you came with!
