Founded
in 2004, The American Small Business Coalition, regarded by many in the
government contracting community as an effective and reliable resource for developing
information and relationships, welcomes David Simon of Mission Essential
Personnel to its advisory board.
Columbia,
MD January 21, 2010
- - Those who coined the saying "change is constant” likely did not envision changes
U.S. companies would experience due to epidemic-like financial collapses. Circumstances
created because of the economic downturn have compelled many organizations to
expand their markets and identify new streams of constant revenue. For
businesses setting their sights on Government Contracting opportunities, The
American Small Business Coalition (The ASBC) fills the role of advisor,
connector, facilitator and promoter.
Since inception, The American Small Business
Coalition has leveraged its corps of trusted advisors to ensure its program
offerings are relevant and effective for its members. In this spirit, the
organization has selected David Simon, Director of Intelligence and Defense
Programs for Mission Essential Personnel (MEP), to serve as a member of The ASBC Advisory Board.
"David’s in-the-trenches knowledge of doing
business in this sector makes him a great addition to our advisory board and complements
our strategy for providing relevant and timely content for identifying and
capturing business opportunities,” says Guy Timberlake, Chief Visionary and
Chief Executive Officer of The American Small Business Coalition.
A former Army Intelligence Officer with more
than 15 years of defense and intelligence experience, David’s background
includes leading strategic growth for several small businesses that, according
to plan, went on to be acquired. He continues that success at MEP by delivering
key contract wins and generating revenue through an effective business
development strategy.
"David has already demonstrated a unique interest
in the success of The American Small Business Coalition and our Members,” says
President and Co-Founder Margaret Timberlake. "Guy and I look forward to the
contributions David will make in support of The ASBC’s growth strategies.”
