Last Thursday (May 14) Angela Dingle and the Women Presidents, Owners and Chief Executives (POCx Women's Group) welcomed Diane Cashin of Cisco Systems to their monthly meeting to share with them her tips for success in life and business!

In addition to her role and responsibilities as Strategic Alliance Manager for the Lockheed Martin Global Alliance which is focused on jointly developing solutions for the Federal Government to help protect, defend and serve the citizens of the United States, Diane is a member of the Women’s Action Network at Cisco and leads a Professional Development series for Cisco women nationally. Additionally, she is an active participant in Cisco’s Network Academy which provides technology-focused education junior and senior high school students and encourages young girls to explore careers in the technology field.

Her discussion "Steps for Women's Success in Business" touched on work-life balance (understanding the importance of balance in your life; making it a priority to attend to your personal goals, maintaining your health and energy); knowing what you want (acting decisively, asking for what you want, etc.) and executive presence (appearance, voice, conversation, etc.).
