Columbia, MD and Tysons Corner, VA (ASBC5) - - If you happen to represent one of the companies awarded a GSA Schedule or one of the many GWAC's administered by the General Services Administration, then you have likely already heard talk about the impact of stimulus spending on a shrinking acquisition workforce. More dollars, same amount of time and fewer resources to get it done with is a formula for using already in place contract vehicles. That's what GSA's Mary Davie will talk about during the afternoon breakouts on April 23rd.
Mary Davie is the Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) in GSA’s newly formed Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). The Federal Acquisition Service is the federal government’s purchasing arm for everything from office supplies to vehicles to computer and telecommunications products and services.FAS aggregates requirements across Government and performs leveraged buys from the private sector.As the Assistant Commissioner, Mary is responsible for overseeing the delivery of $3.5B in acquisition services to federal agency customers worldwide for the purchase of information technology and professional services products, services and solutions.
