From the Chief Visionary
The ASBC... A Culture of Collaboration and Success.
What a historic day!
We have a new President which also means a new vision for how our Nation will move forward from this point. Regardless of your political affiliation, we as Americans have a duty to support the President as he executes the duties of his office. The ASBC extends our best wishes to the President and his family as they start a new chapter in their lives.
2009: The ASBC Fifth Anniversary
Speaking of new chapters, this year we celebrate the Fifth Anniversary of The American Small Business Coalition (Whew!) and as you can imagine, we have lots of plans for new programs and benefits for our Members, new recognition programs inclusive of the membership and others in the Government Sector, and a day-long event on April 23rd at the Sheraton Premiere in Tysons that will feature a special Washington Breakfast Club morning keynote speaker, special lunchtime keynote speaker, morning and afternoon breakout sessions and a great evening reception and awards dinner to cap off the celebration.
We will also host a complimentary State of The ASBC Annual Membership Meeting that afternoon.
We look forward to celebrating and prospering with you all during this year of change!

Life In The ASBC: Kudos From Our MembersWe're always being asked "What is it about The ASBC that your Members like so much?" So we decided to let our Members tell you.
Stacy Trammel, the brains and the muscle behind Zavda Technologies (a CORE Member) was interviewed by Washington Technology about her experience with The ASBC. Here's what came of that interview:
"Stacy Trammell, president of Zavda Technologies LLC,of Glenn Dale, Md., joined ASBC two years ago because she wanted tobetter understand federal contracting and find ways to grow herdisabled-veteran, woman-owned small business."
Trammellsaid she learned how to focus on those government agencies that wouldbe most likely to contract for her information technology services."That helped keep me from running all over the place and stretchingmyself too thin," she said. "Soon after joining, I got my firstcontract."
