Is your small business a government contractor? Is one of the challenges you face finding out the most effective ways to create sustained awareness of your company in the government sector? This will be among the issues covered by The ASBC’s Marketing Silo, one of the education/information activities of The ASBC Business Operations Support Services (BOSS) Committee.

Leading the Marketing Silo are newly appointed co-chairs Ruth and Martin Saenz of Signs by Saenz (a Small Business-Select Member company). Signs by Saenz is a provider of design, production and installation services of specialty signage and promotional items to government and industry. Government agencies they support include U.S Customs and Border Protection, Smithsonian Institution, Defense Logistics Agency, Army National Guard and the U.S. Department of State. As chairs of the Marketing Silo, Ruth and Martin will lead efforts to develop and deliver relevant and timely information through webinars, seminars, blog articles, white papers, audio interviews and discipline-specific discussion groups.

The Marketing Silo mission focuses on the needs of business owners, executives and related professionals doing business in the government sector and utilizes the expertise and industry knowledge of The ASBC’s CORE™ Members and select industry practitioners. The Marketing Silo will specifically address topics in the areas of Advertising, Marketing, Public and Media Relations and Social Networking.

“We have received real value since joining The ASBC in 2007 and felt that leading the Marketing Silo would only contribute to the benefits we receive,” offered Ruth Saenz, President of Signs by Saenz.

“What is exciting is that this group will support the Members of The ASBC through the content we develop,” comments CEO, Martin Saenz, “We will also be able to directly impact how The ASBC promotes the achievements and successes of fellow Members which impacts the growth of The ASBC.”

Silo membership is open to CORE™ Members (Small Business, PrimeConnection™, ChannelConnection™, Coalition Exchange Members) and Government Access Members who can view more information at http://www.theasbc.org/group/marketing.
