The American Small Business Coalition

“The Ambassador Corps”

Purpose

The Ambassador Corps is a group of Member volunteers supporting other Members and The ASBC Leadership for the continued growth and success of The ASBC and Member Community.

Ambassadors are a resource of information and insight related to leveraging the resources of The ASBC for existing and new Members, prospective members and visitors to events hosted by The ASBC and our partners.

The role of the Ambassador is integral to the ability of The ASBC Leadership understanding the needs of Members and helping Members identify resources available which may benefit them based on their individual goals and objectives.

Structure

The Ambassador Corps will be dynamic in structure to accommodate a growing and diverse Membership. The Ambassador Corps shall consist of:

o   Current Members of The ASBC in good standing willing to serve in a volunteer capacity and who have been Members for ninety days or more

o   One or more Members appointed as Chairperson(s)

o   The number of Ambassadors shall be at the discretion of The ASBC Leadership

Participation Requirements

The impact of the Ambassador’s role is significant in that the support provided to Members may facilitate business relationships and business opportunities resulting in the economic growth of member companies which ultimately contributes to the U.S. tax base, provides for increased employment opportunities and generally creates a benefit for all citizens.  All Members willing to participate in this program must meet and/or be willing to adhere to the following guidelines:

o   Members selected to serve as Ambassadors will participate for a minimum term of one-year

o   Members shall have been active in The ASBC membership for at least ninety days

o   Ambassadors will participate in ongoing program updates related to The ASBC Mission and Vision, membership programs and other membership community activities

o   Ambassadors will be identified as such to the membership and at all events and hosted activities

Duties

Ambassadors will provide support to The ASBC Community in the areas of New Member Support, Organizational Support and Events Logistics Support. Brief descriptions of each are can be viewed below.

New Member Support

The ASBC is known for making everyone feel welcome and gaining immediate benefit from the affiliation.  Ensuring new Members are made to feel welcome and have knowledge of the resources available to them is critical to the success of The ASBC Community.

Organizational Support

A constant flow of information from the membership community to the leadership of The ASBC is vital to current and future provided services.  As the Ambassador Corps represents “boots on the ground” from our member community, it will be counted on to facilitate and participate in discussions based on comments and concerns from the membership related to the direction of the organization, expansion of The ASBC Mission, partnerships, provided benefits and other items and areas as deemed relevant by the Ambassador Corps Chairman and The ASBC Leadership.

Event Logistics Support

Relationship development and relevant industry information are keys to the success of any company doing business in the government sector.  The ASBC strives to facilitate relevant, informative and timely activities at a reasonable price to contribute to that success. If you are interested in learning more about participating as an Ambassador, please contact Guy Hinkler of V2 Systems, Chairman of The Ambassador Corps.
