The ASBC Chief Visionary Will Present Tower Club Charity Classic Donation Check During Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon

Columbia, MD (September 26, 2008) — Guy Timberlake, Co-Founder of The American Small Business Coalition and a member of the Tower Club Board of Governors, will participate in a check presentation on behalf of the Tower Club during the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon. The check presented during the Labor Day event represents proceeds raised during the 2007 Tower Club ClubCorp Charity Classic event.

The Tower Club Tysons Corner, a ClubCorp property, recently announced it will participate in the 2008 ClubCorp Charity Classic: Celebrating a Legacy, the world’s largest one-day golf and dining event.

All proceeds raised during The Tower Club ClubCorp Charity Classic will be divided and donated to the following three charities:

  • Equal Footing Foundation launched in 2001 as the charitable arm of the Northern Virginia Technology Council is a 501(C)(3) foundation. Our goal is to provide an equal opportunity environment where youth can access the tools needed to successfully compete with a skilled and educated workforce. We accomplish this by funding, launching and sustaining Computer Clubhouses in partnership with local governments, businesses and other non-profit entities. The Computer Clubhouses we support are centrally located within established community centers, in close proximity to schools and bus routes for easy after school access.

  • The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), specifically “Augie’s Quest,” an initiative within MDA that is an aggressive, cure-driven effort singularly focused on treatments and cures for ALS, (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease).

  • ClubCorp's Employee Partners Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.), a fund created to help ClubCorp's employees and their families by providing financial assistance in times of crisis.

Registration for the 2008 Tower Club ClubCorp Charity Classis is available at
