Author, speaker, consultant, radio host Mark Amtower is on a mission to attack unethical behavior wherever it occurs. "My new book, Why Epiphanies Never Occur to Couch Potatoes, addresses the issue of defining success in your own terms and living your life according to those terms," said Amtower. But the book, described by Guy Timberlake, CEO of The American Small Business Coalition as 'Steve Covey meets Conan the Barbarian' is also about Amtower's quest of exposing bad behavior in all its' forms for what it is - bad behavior.

Known in Washington, DC for his all-black attire and his extreme candor, Amtower addresses these issues through multiple venues: he has a weekly radio show, three e-newsletters, and he speaks at several events each year.

Earlier this year at a Federal budget conference he delivered a very well-received short speech entitled the Six Habits of Highly Defective People, wherein he detailed certain bad behaviors in, among other palecs, the press and on Capitol Hill. The speech ahs been delivered several times since.

Amtower's new book details why he is on this quest. He outlines ten "laws" he chooses to live by and how anyone can live a successful life on their own terms.

Mark Amtower is a Founding Member of The ASBC and Co-Chair of The ASBC Advisory Board

The book costs $14.95 and is available at,, and signed copies are available through
