RE: "Industry Events Regarding NSA Small Business Programs" message of November 9, 2012
In a message issued by the NSA Office of Small Business Programs on Friday, November 9, 2012, companies registered in the NSA Acquisition Resource Center (ARC) are advised to exercise due diligence when deciding to attend events hosted by NSA industry partners that discuss NSA small business programs including NSETS and PISA. Additionally, this message strives to ensure companies understand the information exchanged at these events is not provided, reviewed, or approved by NSA.
The American Small Business Coalition supports the spirit of this message and urges its Members and other government contractors/subcontractors to carefully ascertain the purpose, relevance and value of these events and to carefully consider the source(s) of the information provided at these events.
On Friday, November 30, 2012, The American Small Business Coalition will host a second "NSA Set-Aside for Small Business (NSETS) Industry Review" event that will feature presentations and discussions facilitated by executives and professionals from companies currently doing business with or who have previously done business with NSA under the NSETS program. This event, like its predecessor held in May of this year, has been and continues to be an industry exchange focused on providing information about the challenges associated with developing and executing strategies for success as a prime contractor, subcontractor or teaming partner on the NSETS program.
As part of The American Small Business Coalition's ongoing Business-to-Government Education (B2GEDU) initiative, the November 30th NSETS Industry Review 2.0 event is an industry organized, facilitated and sponsored activity, and there has never been nor will there be a formal or informal connection with any government agency.
