To assist small business concerns with developing information and relationships that can lead to business opportunities, the Social Security Administration is hosting a complimentary subcontractor matchmaking and innovation showcase event at SSA Headquarters on Friday, September 16, 2011.
Interested small businesses with current and relevant experience in technical disciplines related to the ITSSC contract have an opportunity to participate in face-to-face discussions with representatives of the ITSSC prime contractors. Additionally, a limited number of companies with new processes, products, solutions or technologies that are relevant to the SSA mission will be selected to present to the Innovation Showcase panel for potential future discussions.

The United States Social Security Administration (SSA) is an independent agency of the United States federal government that administers Social Security, a social insurance program consisting of retirement, disability, and survivors' benefits. SSA has a nationwide presence with 10 regional offices, about 1,300 field offices, and 6 processing centers, and a workforce of 62,000 employees.
The Information Technology Support Services Contract
(ITSSC) is a $2.8 billion, seven-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that encompasses a
complete range of services related to SSA’s major systems modernization
With an agenda for implementing agency-wide IT support services, SSA awarded multiple ITSSC contracts for integrating, modernizing and enhancing its existing systems. Awards were made to Accenture, CSC, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.
ITSSC’s scope emphasizes the growing demand for health information technology as electronic health record data will help determine disability claims and entitlement programs. As a result of the ITSSC contract, SSA anticipates lower costs, greater user satisfaction with SSA’s core benefits programs and acceleration of benefits delivery.
Under the ITSSC contract, services will be provided under the following nine (9) technical areas:
Application and Business Planning, Analysis, and Requirements
Application Design, Development,Testing, and Maintenance
Database Administration and Imaging and Document Management
Data Administration , Programmatic Repository, and Enterprise Architecture
Software Engineering and Technology
Emerging Technology Applications
Software Engineering Management
Systems Administration for z/OS, UNIX, Windows, and WebSphere
Participation in the ITSSC Subcontractor Matchmaking Event is limited to small business concerns meeting the eligibility criteria provided by the ITSSC prime contractors, and who have active CCR registrations. All registrations are subject to approval. Each company limited to two (2) representatives for this event. Onsite registration and substitutions are not permitted.
