It's Simple. Just Networking - Government Sector Networking!

Come out and join The ASBC in the RED ZONE at the Velocity Five Sports Restaurant & Bar in Merrifield Plaza for an upscale casual government sector business mixer. This is a great opportunity for those interested in or already doing business with Government Agencies and/or their Contractors.

We get started at 4:30pm
and your pre-registration ($35 for Corporate Members, $40 for Individual Members and $45 for Not Yet Members) includes plentiful appetizers, non-alcoholic beverages and a well-stocked cash bar. Onsite registration is an additional $5.00.

At each Red Zone Government Mixer we'll reach out to the market place to find a guest bartender from Government or Industry who is willing to donate his/her tips to support the Lieutenant General Henry "Hank" Doctor Leadership Award which will be presented annually to the top male and female cadets of the South Carolina State University (SCSU) ROTC program, Hank's alma mater. Click here to read more about our friend Hank.

For the October 2009 Red Zone Government Mixer, we'll be joined by Lance Davis, AIA, LEED, from the GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS), Office of Federal High-Performance Green Buildings.

The mission of the Office of Federal High-Performance Green Buildings is to provide high-performance green building information and disseminate practices, technologies and research results through outreach, education, and the provision of technical assistance government-wide. Lance is part of the Sustainable Design Program and serves as a sustainable design expert  with a focus on gaining knowledge and educating GSA and its client agencies. Among his more prominent architectural works are the Korean War Veteran’s Memorial, the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, and the Walter Reed Community Center in Arlington, VA which achieved a LEED Silver rating. If your organization provides products and services that contribute to High-Performance Green Buildings, you may want to come out to meet Lance and the PBS team.

The Velocity Five Sports Restaurant & Bar boasts smoke-free interiors of mahogany wood walls, comfortable roomy seating, private rooms and booths, wall-to-wall hard wood floors and dozens of large flat screen televisions that features state-of-the-art High Definition satellite Direct TV and surround sound.
