Washington Breakfast Club (WBC) is a monthly information exchange which features legislators, agency executives and officials from all branches of federal government presenting on relevant and timely information to interested industry participants.

For the March 2009 WBC event we welcome Matthew R. Benavides, Deputy Director of Personnel Systems,  Headquarters 554th Electronic Systems Group (554 ELSG), 554th Electronic Systems Wing, Electronic Systems Center, Randolph AFB, Texas. He leads a 300-person division executing an annual budget in excess of $200M to develop, field and sustain world-class U.S. Air Force human resource information technology systems.  The division supports Headquarters Air Force, Air Force Personnel Center and MAJCOMs for active duty, civilian, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command.
  

We will also be joined by Carolyn J. Lee, Senior Advisor for Plans and Integration, AF/A1X, the Pentagon. In this capacity she supports the Directorate of Plans and Integration in Air Force Enterprise-wide Human Resource Information Technology. Her responsibilities include oversight of AF and joint personnel systems and IT initiatives. 

The theme of this month's discussion is focused on fulfilling the objectives designed around the goal to: "rapidly implement reliable, integrated, and secure information technology to improve personnel services delivery accessibility and usability."  This discussion should be of particular interest to anyone following the recent announcement by the Deputy Secretary of Defense concerning the re-alignment of the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources Systems (DIMHRS) to the services (i.e., Army and Air Force) to build out the  capability for their respective services.

This presentation provides attendees the opportunity to directly engage the Senior Advisor to the CIO for the entire USAF A1 portfolio which includes "personnel, manpower, and education and training."

The doors open at 7:15 AM for registration and networking with a hot buffet breakfast being served at 7:30. Each attendee will be given the opportunity to introduce him/herself and his/her company. Following this our speaker will present their program and we will turn it back over to networking following Q&A.

The cost of the event is $55.00 for prepaid registration. There is an additional $10.00 fee for onsite registration and payment. No-show's and late cancellations will be charged the full event price.
