The BIDs™ Working Group is a members-only information-gathering and sharing opportunity to support the identification, pursuit and capture of government contracts and/or subcontracts.

What is the BIDs™ Working Group?
A no excuses B2G information-gathering and sharing opportunity for members of The American Small Business Coalition. This Business Opportunity Working Group is for facilitating relationships and collaborations focused on transforming raw industry information into viable intelligence that Members can use to support their company’s pursuit and capture of government contracts and/or subcontracts.

What agencies and opportunities will be discussed during BIDs™?
All agencies, disciplines and opportunities of the U.S. Government except those coming under the veil of the U.S. Intelligence Community. These opportunities are addressed by our
Cyber and Intelligence Community (CYBINT) Working Group (participation restrictions apply).  

What happens at BIDs™?
It starts with the selection of an acquisition, program or specific departmental function at an agency in order to identify opportunities. This introductions includes a summary to provide attendees with background, purpose (mission), associated and predecessor programs/organizations and current funding status. Following the overview is a detailed discussion that includes:

  • A review of top goods and services being procured (by NAICS and PSC)

-       Summary of related ending contracts

-       Discussion related to acquisition events (planned industry days, pre-RFP conferences, etc.)

-       Agency forecast review

-       Summary of top contractors/vendors associated with the opportunity

  • A review of key funding and procurement organizations (internal and external)
  • A discussion on acquisition strategies, award types and competition methods
  • A debrief of recent Industry Day, Pre-Bid Conference, Site Visits by members
  • PrimeConnect™ - presentation (as available) by ‘other than small’ prime contractors with related subcontracting opportunities
  • TeamingConnection™ - presentation (as available) by member companies with related teaming opportunities
  • Open discussion, networking and ad hoc opportunity announcements by attendees

The BIDs™ working group is an opportunity for members to collaborate (online and offline) and get assistance with selecting viable opportunities and partners to increase the number of qualified opportunities identified, pursued and won by members of The American Small Business Coalition.

Pre-registration is required and includes lunch. Event Terms and Conditions are in effect. Participation is limited to individuals and organizations doing business as contractors/subcontractors to the U.S. Government.
