No Contract Vehicles Needed™

Whether or not your company has been awarded a GSA Schedule, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) or some other Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), this session will provide you a substantive look at agency buys made where the government awarded an open market standalone contract instead of issuing a delivery order, task order or BPA Call.

Why does this matter?

While established contract vehicles are prevalent and have high visibility in government contracting, these procurements only account for half of the total reported dollars obligated by federal agencies, boards and commissions each fiscal year. Additionally, the ‘award type’ an agency opts to use determines who can submit a bid for specific opportunities and can decide which internal or external contracting organization is used to execute the procurement. If the customer sends the acquisition package (and their funding) to a contracting office other than the one you expected, your chances of submitting a response could decrease.

In addition to a tutorial on the various types of ways agencies can procure goods and services, each session provides an overview of:

  • which departments/agencies are making these buys
  • what they are buying (NAICS Codes, Goods vs. Services)
  • obligations by department/agency
  • how the procurements are competed
  • small business set-asides
  • total obligations to small business
  • where the work occurs (place of performance)
  • and more!

Participants will receive an electronic copy of the presentation following the event. Standard Terms and Conditions are in effect.
