Federal agency use of Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) to fulfill business and mission needs has been on the rise since FY2000. During this session, participants will be provided a summary background on the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Threshold, which agencies buy this way, how much they spend and what they purchase. We will also discuss the June 2012 joint memo issued by OFPP and SBA that thrust Simplified Acquisitions into the spotlight, and the recently revised FAR exception that greatly increases the overall value of these purchases. Attendees will learn how the "Rule of Two” affects small government contractors and ultimately, resources they can use to find these opportunities to grow their business.

He has been educating government contractors about federal agency streamlined purchases since 2004, and has helped member companies of The American Small Business Coalition to find and win tens of millions of dollars in streamlined opportunities, and billions of government contracting dollars overall.
