On Friday, May 6th we welcome Wayne McDonald, Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization for the Social Security Administration who will lead a discussion on key agency requirements where small businesses can capture direct or subcontract opportunities.  Additionally, Mr. McDonald will provide all attendees with a detailed listing of some of SSA's most active contracts to include incumbent information, contract expiration date and brief description of goods/services being procured.

About Our Speaker

Wayne Everett McDonald has served as the Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization for the Social Security Administration since March 2004. A career federal government employee, Mr. McDonald has been with SSA since 1985 and has held supervisory and management positions within the Office of Acquisition and Grants. Prior to SSA Mr. McDonald worked for 10 years at the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland where he started his career in the Professional Intern Program.

A native of Bethesda, Maryland, Wayne received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration-management from Bowie State University. Wayne has certifications in management training from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and also from one of the George Washington University Graduate Programs. He is a former Senior Fellow of the Council for Excellence in Government (now the Partnership for Public Service).

The ASBC's of Government Contracting™ provides practical and up-to-date information on running a business and finding and winning business as a government contractor and subcontractor. Topics presented are selected based on information collected through ongoing surveys and member feedback, and are presented by Industry veterans and current and former Government officials sharing their acquired experiences.
