Late Thanks to Arnie!

Posted By Guy Timberlake, The American Small Business Coalition, LLC, Thursday, December 10, 2009
I just sent a note to say hello to Neil Schwictenberg, the son or Arnie Schwictenberg who is a Navy Veteran and survivor of Pearl Harbor attack. Arnie was on-board the USS Trever (DMS-16) that day.

I met Arnie and his son's family on the Metro on the way to the dedication ceremony of the WWII Memorial . During the ride, Arnie shared some of his experience with me. I was a volunteer for the ceremony and had the "volunteer garb" on which made it easy for me to approach him since he was wearing a Pearl Harbor Survivor cap.

My intention was to send the note on December 7th, but I had misplaced Neil's contact information.

A late, but heartfelt thanks to a member of the Greatest Generation.

Thanks Arnie!
