Tigerlily Foundation Update: Making a Difference

You folks are going to love this!

We decided to check in with Maimah "Mover and Shaker" Karmo, founder of Tigerlily Foundation, to find out what she's been able to do with the money you helped raise during The ASBC 2008 Holiday Mixer on December 10th.

The ASBC and Members donated $3249 to Tigerlily through the Silent Auction and 50/50 Raffle.

Here's where the money has been used so far:

NOTE: Tigerlily's policy is to make payments directly to providers of medical services or provide direct services such as Let's Dish Sessions.

Because of your generosity, a single young mother's chemo bill of $500 was paid and another payment is on the way for upcoming bills.

Maimah will be placing another check for $500 in the mail on Tuesday for another young mother who just sent in her paperwork for assistance.

A very ill mother of three who was referred to Tigerlily by the Network of Strength, needs assistance because she has so many co-payments and has had to go to a food pantry. She will receive $800 in assistance and Maimah plans to do a Let's Dish session for meals for she and her children.

A stay at home mother of three will be receiving financial assistance towards her bills. She has a good support network but often needs help with meals more so than with funds.

In less than two hours, you raised enough to help four young mothers and their children. So far, $2500 of what you raised has gone directly to supporting Tigerlily's mission.

You are all great people and Maggie and I are blessed and proud to be associated with you all!

Happy Holidays!

- Guy, Maggie and Maimah
