Tigerlily Foundation Given Early Christmas Gift by
The American Small Business Coalition

Members and Friends from Government and Industry Come Together at
The ASBC Holiday Mixer and Raise $3200 to Support “A Day of Beauty”, “Chemotherapy Buddy” and At Home Programs for Women Undergoing Breast Cancer Treatment.

Columbia, MD December 15, 2008 – Last Wednesday evening, headlines such as the two wars, ongoing economic woes and troubles facing almost everyone in our great nation were left at the front door of the exclusive Tower Club in Vienna, VA as more than one-hundred guests attended The ASBC 2008 Holiday Mixer that doubled as a fundraiser for the Tigerlily Foundation.

The seasonal celebration was an opportunity for guests to network with peers from the
government sector. They also participated in a silent auction that included a Southern Maryland weekend getaway; boxing gloves autographed by Sugar Ray Leonard; season tickets to the D.C. Armor (one of the teams in the American Indoor Football Association); a membership to the Tower Club and more.

“Thanks to the generosity of the friends and members of The ASBC we raised $3,249 to help fulfill our mission of supporting young women affected by breast cancer,” stated Tigerlily Founder and Executive Director, Maimah Karmo.

"Even in tough times like these where everyone is watching their every dollar, the missions of groups like Tigerlily Foundation seem to prevail,” observed Guy Timberlake, co-founder of The American Small Business Coalition. “Maggie and I are proud and fortunate to be associated with the kind of people that make up The ASBC Community.”
