Taking pride in one's work is alive, and kicking!

Posted By Guy Timberlake, The American Small Business Coalition, LLC, Monday, April 29, 2013

Quality. Problem Resolution. Cost Control. Timeliness. Business Relations.

Who out there recognizes these attributes? These are the categories in which your company will be judged when you are up for a Contractor Performance Evaluation for work on the contract(s) awarded to your firm by a government agency. If you are up for a CPE sometime soon, I hope it looks something like the one I saw today!

What an absolute joy it was for me to get a message from one of our members that contained an executed CPE from one of their customers. I read it and all I can say is WOW!!!

I'm not talking about satisfactory or even good marks on this form, our folks got EXCELLENT in all five categories topped off by a slew of remarks that reinforce the score given by the agency.

This is all about taking pride in your work and I could not be happier for these folks, nor any more proud to have them as part of our membership community.

This is what I'm talking about! This is the kind of documentation you take with you on your next visit to a prospective customer so when they ask "So, what have you done lately and with whom?" you just say "Booyah!!!" and slam it on the table.

Gimme a second, trying not to hyperventilate here. Phew, that's better.

Just one more thing, did I mention they got the option year of that contract exercised?

Peace.
