No "I" In Team? True. But There Sure Is In T-E-A-M-I-N-G!

Members achieve success by leveraging other Members
to help "close the deal!"

We caught a lot of grief two years ago when we revised our membership program and discontinued participation by "generalist" service providers in the membership (i.e., banks, lawyers that don't know the FAR, accountants not versed in DCAA, financial planners, etc.). Those remaining became the foundation of the Trusted B2B Membership, a performance-based corporate membership program (available by invitation-only) for organizations with offerings that are "specifically relevant to the business operations of government contractors." Invitations are extended by the Executive Committee as it finds it necessary to expand or increase the services represented in the Trusted B2B.

This blog entry is for everyone that told us we were making a mistake and would regret not having a "more diverse" membership community (more diverse meaning B2B and B2C companies). Our position and retort? We don't cater to everyone

Our point?

In the last two months, we have received feedback from members partnering with other B2G members and leveraging Trusted B2B Members for specific professional and/or technical services such as contracts management and proposal development. Based on comments and testimonials received, Trusted B2B Members have directly contributed to small business members receiving over $800M in direct and subcontract awards (one contract alone was valued at $500M) in the last two months. Another bonus is the fact that more than forty Associate and Corporate Members were tapped as teammates for several of these successes.
Not included in this number is the $500M contract won by a PrimeConnection Member who leveraged us to identify viable small business partners. You can read about some of these in our SBGovWins blog.
This past Friday we found out one of our CORE Small Business Members is awaiting notification of award for two deals she attributes to The ASBC and the support of other members.

This is exactly the type of activity we were hoping to achieve!

The community we and our Members have worked to create over the past six years exists for one purpose: To help novice and even experienced organizations understand how to identify, qualify, pursue and win business in the government sector, and to assist those companies with accessing information and relationships to augment their efforts! This isn't summer camp and we're not sitting around the campfire getting to know one another for kicks, we are here to make our Government and Industry Members successful based on how that word applies to their organizational objectives.

We make no apologies if our programs are not a fit for some. After six and a half years, we are very comfortable with the reputation we have established and the value our Members and friends in the government sector tell us they receive.

Enough talk. Back to work!
